After an engine switch around, removing C508, VL353 & 4532 from the Up running Saturday train we now see G514, 48S35 & 442S1 with the return empties to Kelso on Sunday morning. The train is viewed here running through Lidsdale NSW just over two hours late as it descends the grade past Springvale Colliery to the right, just out of view. Springvale Colliery still operates but is not connected to a rail service using a long conveyor system to supply Mount Piper power station and Wallerawang power station (now closed) close by. Judging by the large amount of empty container flats the return loading on Monday will be light or they have sufficient empty containers at Kelso siding. 1120hrs Sunday 26th of April 2020.
