Diagnosing 2018+ FCA (Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep etc) with Security Gateway Module using YOUCANIC Scanner

FCA Stellantis started installing a security gateway module on 2018 vehicles that prevent DIYers and mechanics from fully troubleshooting a vehicle. Unless you register the scan tool with FCA and pay yearly subscription. This limitation affects all scan tools. The good news is that it is possible to bypass this limitation without paying a yearly subscription and simply by using Chrysler 12+8 adapter available online.

If you are troubleshooting a 2018 and newer Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Fiat, Alfa Romeo you will be able to read codes from ALL the modules and view live data.

You will not be able to clear codes or carry bidirectional tests or any kind of resets without bypassing the security gateway module.
