The Corolla Cross Hybrid features Toyota’s 5th Generation Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) system with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, three electric motors, and Electronic On-Demand AWD. Combined output is 196 horsepower, with a 0–60 mph time of 8 seconds and a manufacturer-estimated 42 MPG combined for all AWD hybrid grades.

Gas-powered models use a 2.0-liter Dynamic Force 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve engine with Dual VVT-i and a CVTi-S transmission. They deliver 169 horsepower and are available in FWD or AWD. AWD versions feature Dynamic Torque Control, directing up to 50% of power to the rear wheels as needed. Fuel economy is 32 MPG (FWD) and 30 MPG (AWD) combined.

The Corolla Cross lineup includes gas grades L, LE, XLE and hybrid grades S, SE, XSE, with AWD standard on all hybrid trims. Each grade offers distinct interior finishes — from durable fabric on base trims to SofTex®-trimmed seats on XLE and Mixed Media upholstery on XSE. Standard 60/40 split rear seats provide flexible cargo space, and XLE/XSE trims add a center armrest and an optional power liftgate.

Interior updates include an improved center console for better storage and accessibility, optional power-adjustable seating, dual-zone climate control, and Portobello interior color for the XLE. Tech upgrades include a 10.5-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen, 7-inch or 12.3-inch digital gauge clusters, and a Cold-Weather Package with heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, standard on Hybrid XSE and Gas XLE AWD.

The new Cavalry Blue color joins the lineup, with an optional Jet Black roof on Hybrid SE and XSE models. Two new wheel designs include 18-inch dark-gray machined alloys on the XLE and 18-inch gloss-black alloys on the Hybrid XSE.

Built in Huntsville, Alabama, the 2026 Corolla Cross combines Toyota’s reliability with modern design, efficient hybrid performance, and practical versatility — making it one of the most well-rounded compact SUVs in its class.
