Mercedes- Benz GLK350: Oil Change and Filter Change

I do this job every 5,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first. Mercedes recommend performing this maintenance every 10,000 miles or once a year but it’s so easy I do it twice a year for peace of mind.

This is part of your SERVICE A ($249.99) or SERVICE B ($549.99). All parts for this DIY is about $65 total. The oil is from Walmart and Filter from eBay or Amazon.

Tools Required
• Torque wrench (set for 23 ft lbs) *drain bolt
• 3/8" Ratchet Drive
• 3/8" Extension
• 1/2" Socket Bit
• 5/16" Socket Bit
• Oil Filter Removal Tool
• MANN Oil Filter with O-rings
• Copper crush waster
• 7 Quarts of Mobil 1 (or whatever brand you want) 0W-40 oil (European Formula)
• Oil catch-pan
• Wheel ramps or jack stands

Duration: 45-60 minutes (most of this is waiting for the oil to fully drain)
