In this video we’re showing our newest protection solution for Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Vans — the CPC Shield.

Most Sprinter owners already know about EIS water damage problems and the infamous “DO NOT SHIFT GEARS” message. But right next to the ignition module sits another extremely important component — the CPC (Central Powertrain Controller / Gateway Module).

The CPC is one of the main communication hubs in the van and is responsible for critical CAN bus communication between multiple control units including engine, transmission, ABS, ESP and more.

Unfortunately, just like the EIS, the CPC sits low in the kick panel area and is vulnerable to:

* Water intrusion
* Wet carpets
* Windshield leaks
* Condensation
* Spilled drinks
* Moisture buildup

In this video we’ll show:

* CPC module location
* Why these modules fail
* Real-world issues we’ve seen in our shop
* Installation of the CPC Shield
* Final fitment and design overview

Designed and tested in our Sprinter-focused shop.
