Friends, I got a steering rack on a Mercedes. To do this, you need to untwist the steering tip. Here's what the steering tip boot looks like. Both on this and the other side. Then we unwind two tubes. The liquid that was there still leaked out. Next, we unwind this bolt on the steering column and unscrews the four bolts securing the steering rack. So here I will immediately install the steering rod with a tip, then I untwisted these tubes from the steering column, untwisted a bolt, disconnected the steering rod from the right side and untwisted the bolts of the steering rack. Friends, to fix the steering rack alone without help, I fixed the rack to the stabilizer with a wire. She should be there right so that the neck of the steering rack fully fits into place. If the rail will be crooked, then the slots will not enter into place by any efforts.
