This is a video to assist owners of older model Volvo's that are experiencing a chronic battery drain due to the factory alarm system. The rechargable battery's inside the ALARM SIREN MODULE are no longer able to hold a charge, in turn causing a constant drain on the main battery of your car. I want to give credit to Lee Ozark who has provided many post online about this subject that gave me the info to by-pass this factory alarm system. I thought it would be helpful to provide video pictures to add to the info he provided. Below is the post from Lee Ozark that I used to perform this task. I did place electrical tape over the area before I placed the panel back in place not shown in the video.

Remove relay 210/211 and use a jumper wire to jump the socket positions associated with pins 50E and 50F on the 210 side of the double relay.

The relay itself is located in the lower central electrical unit which is inside of the car. It is mounted high on the inside of the firewall just below the main fusebox. It takes 2 T-25 Torx screws being removed (and some contortionism) to get the lower dash panel off and to get to the lower central electrical unit.

If you have a dealer nearby they can sell you a dummy 210 relay that has the jumper wire built in and it just plugs into the 210 socket position but I shudder to think of what they would charge for it.
