Since these 1978 to 1987 Mercedes W116, W123, and W126 diesels are now so old, you can expect to have to deal with the front driver's seat if you want a comfortable ride "down the road." A fatigued and broken seat bottom spring assembly is the most common problem. In this video you will get to see an example of a really bad collapse driver seat spring. So bad Kent can hardly see over the dash...lol. Options for repair are discuss in general terms but no specific instructions giving in this video.
