Engine and transmission oil leak inspection is VERY important early on in your restoration. Don't plan on going on any long trips until this is completed. Some type of fluid leaks can cause catastrophic engine or transmission failure. The only way you can really check for leaks is to first thoroughly clean both the top of the engine and the underside of the engine and transmission. If you do not have a place to safely do this yourself take it to an auto detailer. In this video Kent will show you some good examples of the importance of cleaning then inspecting.
