This video covers the valve body modifications for the Mercedes 722.6 RWD transmission used in many RWD and 4WD vehicles. This transmission is also commonly known as the NAG1 for Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles. These transmissions are still offered in 2021 models and arrived on the scene in 1996!! In this video, I cover the improvements available from popular kit manufacturers such TransGo, Superior Transmission Products, and Sonnax. I explain the modifications from each company and explain how the achieve an improved design. I even use a cut-away valve body to demonstrate the installation and machining procedures.

This video is intended to teach a student or a technician what is actually done when installing these valve body enhancements. Note, this video is assuming that the viewer understands basic hydraulics, valve body, electronics, and torque converter and transmission principles and terminology. If that knowledge is lacking, please find the introductory videos in the automatic transmission playlist and watch them first.
