I attended an official #MercedesAMG Digital Model Strategy Round Table on 5 February 2026, where AMG laid out its roadmap for 2026–2027 — and confirmed some of the biggest powertrain and model changes we’ve been speculating about for years.

his wasn’t a launch event. It was a closed-door strategy meeting with #AMG leadership, covering engines, future models, hybrids, EVs, and the long-term direction of the brand as AMG approaches its 60th anniversary.

The headlines are big: the four-cylinder era is over, the inline-six is back as the backbone, the new flat-plane #V8 is confirmed, and Black Series will live on. Most importantly, AMG openly acknowledged that many of these decisions were driven directly by customer feedback.
