Mercedes Front Spring Colour Code Interpretation
Mercedes uses number of dots + colour variations to identify the exact load class.
W245 B class Pattern pattern:
• 6 × white dots
• Dot #6 partly yellow
This corresponds to the Mercedes front coil spring load class used for standard-suspension W169/W245 diesels with higher front-axle load (diesel engine, manual/auto variants).

A169 321 27 04 (superseded by A169 321 28 04 in some markets)
Why not 25-series?
The 25-series springs (1693212504 / 250428) typically carry 4 or 5 white dots for petrol cars, sometimes with a single yellow or blue, but not a 6-white pattern.
The six-white (+ partial yellow) is a heavier-rate spring used on:
• B180 CDI
• B200 CDI
• Some B170 automatics
• Vehicles without sport suspension
Detailed cross-reference (from Mercedes EPC & aftermarket equivalents)
The paint code:
6 × white + 1 yellow dash
→ maps to Spring Code “Qxx” (varies by car but always resolves to A1693212704 → A1693212804)
Equivalent aftermarket matches:
OE Number Equivalent Notes
A169 321 27 04 Lesjöfors 4056856 Standard chassis, diesel front axle
A169 321 28 04 Lesjöfors 4056856 / KYB RH3301 variants Direct supersession

2008 W245 B180 / B200 CDI that does not have sport suspension.
Correct front spring spec is:
???? A169 321 28 04 (or the earlier 27 04)
Paint code: 6 white dots, last one partly yellow
Length ~418 mm, wire ~12 mm
