Transmission services are one of the most important maintenance items on a Mercedes, but often one of the most overlooked. We recommend servicing the transmission every 40,000–60,000 miles to help prevent slipping, harsh shifting, and long-term wear.

Using the correct fluid is just as important. We only use Mercedes-Benz OEM fluid or Fuchs, which is the actual manufacturer that supplies Mercedes. Using the proper fluid helps the transmission shift smoothly and protects the internal components.
