Motorists who get into an accident are only required to stop their vehicle if it is reasonable to believe that the animal has an owner or if the animal will pose a hazard to other road users.

Currently, they have to do so for only eight types of farm animals of commercial value listed in the Road Traffic Act: horses, cattle, asses, mules, sheep, pigs, goats or dogs.

I witnessed a hit and run of a community cat

White Nissan qashqai off peak car car number 3065, but unsure of alphabets as unclear see in video, hit and run a cat. Seems like he's above the speed limit. Hitting the cat is not the issue but he didn't not stop to check and provide assistance despite being high beamed.

Car plate alphabets is unclear, but the 4 numbers is "3065", but will proceed to file the police report as police will be able to trace definitely with the route and traffic cams.


Hope you can share the video and hope someone identify the driver and exact carplate, so I may also provide to TP with my report.
