Driving in Germany: Autobahn A3 E35 from Köln to Neustadt

In this video you can drive along on the Autobahn A3 E35 from Köln (Cologne) to around the town of Neustadt. The A3 is one of Germany's most important corridors and handles a lot of traffic.

I have driven this stretch of motorway so often that I can almost dream it, but it's not necessarily my favorite route to drive. As you can see there are always a substantial amount of construction sites that really take out the pace.

Nonetheless the infrastructure is impressive, as it's 2x3 lanes all the way between the Ruhr area and Frankfurt. It also runs through the foothills of the Eifel, so there is some interesting scenery on the way. Some of the straight stretches go down into a valley and if it weren't for the traffic and speed limits in those areas, you could really pull through with the right car :)
