Mercedes Benz expands its portfolio with two new AMGs. The E53 4-Matic+ is new to the Mercedes-Benz India line-up and gets a 6-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with 48-volt EQ boost and an electric compressor to aid the turbo-charger. All together it gives the E 53 a 0-100kmph time of 4.5 seconds and a character very different to the twin-turbo E 63S.
The E 63S AMG doesn’t get any more power but 603bhp and a ginormous 850Nm of torque is more than enough and rockets the 4-door super-saloon to 0-100kmph in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 297kmph. And it gets drift mode. We had to try it out!
