The 2019 Mercedes GLS X167 is built on the MRA platform and in many respects technically coincides with the Mercedes GLE w167. In the new generation, GLS will become bigger and lighter. Diesel, gasoline and hybrid models will be available. GLS again can be ordered in a seven-seat version. The top of the lineup will be the Mercedes-Maybach GLS, which will be available with V8 and V12 engines.
