This hidden reset works for most Mercedes-Benz models equipped with 5-speed (722.6) and 7-speed (722.9 7G-Tronic) automatic transmissions.
Step-by-step instructions shown in this video:
Turn the ignition key to position 2 (Dash lights on, do NOT start the engine).
Press the gas pedal all the way down past the kick-down switch and hold it.
Keep the pedal pressed for 5 seconds, then turn the key back to position 0 (Do NOT remove the key).
Release the gas pedal.
Wait at least 2 minutes inside the car without opening any doors or touching any buttons.
Start the car and take it for a spin to let it relearn your driving style!
