This video showcases my 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG with the factory Performance Package. To enhance the sound I had the resonator removed. It doesn't have a drone on the highway, and is aggressive and loud when you want it to be. If you’re in the market for one of these then I’d recommend springing for the Performance Package variants which are nominally more expensive, but raise the horsepower from 518 to 550 and the torque from 516 to 590. This car is quicker than my previous C6 Corvette Z51 was, with a better sound, more luxury conveniences and more practicality (4 seats) and for a similar price (new). As long as nothing major breaks on it (nothing so far), then this is easily my favorite car I’ve owned. I opted for the 2012 version because it was the first year of the new CLS bodystyle which is still produced with just a mid gen re-fresh, and being the oldest of the bodystyle meant it had depreciated the most. The E63 was still an older bodystyle in 2012.
