Mercedes is reviving the V-Class. The new focus is on luxury driving and transporting - it is supposed to set standards as a huge saloon car, Mercedes boss Zetsche says. Mercedes is attacking Volkswagen who are dominating the market right now. The new V-Class is available in three different length, depending on the purpose. It starts at about 4,9 metres and ends at 5,4 metres. Being a family carrier, an airport taxi or an VIP shuttle. However, we are in a high price segment here, and there is much margin to be made. Therefore it is very attractive for the manufacturers to invest in this segment. As engines, you can pick the 2.2 litre Diesel - with 136, 163 oder 190 hp. Prices in Germany start at about 43.000 Euros, however, this is really just the basic version. Expect a lot more.
