While the transmission fluid in the 722.6 is 'lifetime' fluid, this pan and electrical connector is prone to failure/leaking. So, if you have 75k or more miles on your car, and no history of it being done, might be a good 'to do'. Really not much more difficult than a regular engine oil change, with the added fun of a gasket seal!
