For 2018 Mercedes has brought back the E63 AMG version. Now referred to as the AMG E63 S, it packs more power and torque by a new, smaller turbocharged V8 (603 hp, 627 lb-ft) that is also more efficient.

The 2018 Mercedes E63 also has a AMG-developed or tuned powertrain and suspension parts, a limited-slip rear differential, and heated and ventilated front seats. Additionally, it comes standard with several of those E400's optional products. Any E63 S could be outfitted with carbon-ceramic brakes.
