This Land Rover gear selector, also fitted to some Jaguar models, suffers from internal component defects that will prevent the dial from rising, falling and rotating, often leaving the vehicle stuck in one drive mode or stuck in park.

Common Failure symptoms:
• Gear selection dial will not rise or fall
• Unable to select/switch drive mode
• Gear selection dial will not rotate
• Fault code - P176C -11 - Transmission Range Selector Lock Control Error

Affected Vehicles:
The following Land Rover models:
• Discovery 4 (2010 – 2013)
• Discovery Sport (2015 – 2019)
• Range Rover (2012 – 2020)
• Range Rover Evoque (2011 – 2019)
• Range Rover Sport (2009 – 2013)

• Jaguar XF (2015 – 2020)
