Mercedes-Benz has announced the launch of the new AMG GT. It is available in two variants: GT 63 and GT 63 Pro, priced at Rs 3 crore and Rs 3.65 crore (ex-showroom), respectively. Deliveries will begin early next year. The new Mercedes-AMG GT shares its underpinnings with the AMG SL 55. The two-door coupe is slightly larger than its predecessor and has a slightly longer wheelbase. It features a wide, low-slung grille, a long hood, and short overhangs. Inside, the AMG GT comes with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch touchscreen in the centre. Unlike the previous AMG GT, the new model has two additional seats in the back. It is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that produces 577 BHP and 800 Nm. It is paired with a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and the 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system. Mercedes claims the AMG GT 63 can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, while its top speed is 315 km/h. The AMG GT 63 Pro variant has 603 BHP and 850 Nm, which allows it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and can reach a top speed of 317 km/h. The Pro variant also comes with the AMG Aerodynamics Package, AMG Night Package II and AMG Carbon Exterior Package as standard. It also gets improved cooling, ceramic composite brakes, and lightweight wheels wrapped in high-performance tyres.
