The 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class demonstrates the truth of the old adage “You get what you pay for.” Sure, you could find plenty of less-expensive midsize sedans, but if you can afford one, why would you choose anything less than Mercedes’ ultimate midsize luxury car? Available as a sedan, coupe, or wagon and with 4, 6, or 8 cylinders, pretty much anyone who wants a comfortable, technologically up-to-date luxury vehicle can find an E-Class that will more than meet their needs.

The E-Class offers engines ranging from a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that puts out 241 hp and 273 lb-ft to the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 in the E63 AMG, which puts out 603 hp and 627 lb-ft, at prices ranging from just under $54K to well over $100K. The E-Class also offers plenty of technology and safety features, not to mention an automatic perfume dispenser, a stereo that will outshine the one in your living room, and a system that will play “pink noise” to protect eardrums during a crash.
