If you have a Mercedes C class w204 series 2007 to 2014 with a clunk sound behind the dashboard glove box. This issue is a faulty stepper motor.
You can changes the stepper by just removing the glove box only. I used a adjustable wrench and small torx 20 within a 1 inch gap.
Video taken from engine bay side and vent removed.
