What‘s up everybody? Welcome back to my channel!

After removing my defective battery, I noticed the rusty battery tray and decided to restore it before mounting the new one in. It took a way longer than I have expected because of the bad weather.

About the process. I put the rusty parts in a container with hot water and liquid citric acid. After 24 hours I cleaned the parts and removed remaining rust and paint with a steel brush and sanding discs. Once this was done I applied a coat rust converter and filled the dents with polyester filler. After 3 hours of drying, I sanded down the filler and flatten out the surface. First I sprayed rust converter + primer, let it dry and then matt black paint and last some clear coat. Once everything was dry I polished the parts before mounting them back on the car.

It was the first time I used filler and do zinc plating. If anyone has good advices please let me know in the comments below.
