Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive Next - the assistance systems by Mercedes-Benz: Active Lane Keeping Assist helps to prevent unintended lane departure. Once the camera detects that road markings are being crossed unintentionally, warning messages are given to the driver. In the first ex stage, when crossing solid road markings, there is an additional one-sided braking intervention. Blind Spot Assist warns visually and acoustically against side collisions with other vehicles in or about to enter the blind spot. Active Blind Spot Assist goes another step further and activates the belt tensioners in the interior to protect the occupants if the driver begins to change lanes despite the warnings.
