Mercedes in diesel was always a thing. Not only did it run on the only fuel available without any problems, but it was also well soundproofed, comfortable, durable, better than the competition. The only thing hard for us to understand was that in the top S-class these engines were not available in the 1980s. The S-Class in diesel was only available in the US and Canadian markets, and we still had to wait for import opportunities from that market. Of the nearly 100,000 diesel produced in the W126 generation, the Mercedes 350 SD Turbo is the rarest, produced in just 2066 units, exclusively in 1991. Under the bonnet, it hides a 3.5-liter OM603 six-cylinder engine, which was only installed in Europe in its successor, the W140. This car has almost symbolic mileage as for a diesel, and it additionally attracts with its beautiful color configuration and very impressive preservation condition.
