Mercedes-benz built a beautiful R107 SL roadster and it's still a great car that lots of people enjoy today! But one thing Mercedes missed out on is making some with a turbo diesel. So we are stepping up to the plate and have already installed an OM603 TURBO version into our friends 1984 Mercedes-Benz 380SL. Now we need to get this great engine to run????. In this video we built a driveshaft to connect the 6 speed mercedes 716 transmission to the differential but unfortunately didn't work out, the yoke on the transmission doesn't match the driveshaft. So we temporary just put some bolts thru it. ????. Also we reinstalled the stock turbo and connect the coolant lines but the coolest part is that we got to start it with the key inside the car. That Om603 fires right up and we go for a little test drive. And yup this thing is awesome! Super fun to drive! We really enjoyed it. Now we are going to get the car back into the shop and finish putting it together so it can drive really nice!

Mercedes 190D with a OM606 swap with a Kangaroos team exhaust manifold and a BorgWarner S364.5 turbo. Wastegate is a 46mm Precision. For fueling we has a 8.5mm SuperFloyd injection pump from Diesel Pump UK also his street performance valve springs. Transmission is a 722.6 from a SL55-AMG and custom paddle shifters on our Motion Raceworks Cleetus steering wheel. We also added Nitrous Outlet Nos system just incase. :P.
