The Hymer B-Class MasterLine 780 was introduced in July 2020, following on from the success of the upgrade to the B Class which started in April 2019. The semi integrated version I think is a welcome addition, coming at a significantly lower price and having the advantages of a semi integrated such as cheaper purchase price, more agile performance, better fuel consumption and easier windscreen replacement.

The B-ML T 780 uses the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis cowl with optional 177 hp diesel engine and the Hymer SLC chassis. In conjunction with the new 6-speed manual gearbox or the 9-speed automatic transmission, this allows comfortable cruising speeds with maximum, low-noise engine smoothness and optimised fuel consumption. Assistance systems include standard Active Brake Assist or optional DISTRONIC Active Distance Assist, as well as optional camera-based assistance systems, such as an active lane departure warning system or High Beam Assist.

Water tanks and electrical equipment are in the double floor as is storage that can be accessed from inside. The garage has a payload of up to 450 kg.

The vehicle has an internatl width of 225cm. Locker doors can be opened sideways. A continuous flat floor stretches gives 198cm headroom. The kitchen has a large work top. The shower with a headroom of 194cm. The living area can be partitioned off from the sleeping area.

The single beds measure over two metres in length and almost 90 centimetres in width. A feature of the 780 is that it has pull out steps so that one does not have to use a ladder when the the single beds are joined. Furthermore, when the ladder is out, it does not block the toilet door!

There is a bright furniture finish, featuring elements in modern super-matt white, and the darker touches of colour, whereas a warm, darker furniture finish with elements in high-gloss white can also be selected as an option. The Duo-Core upholstery concept with the LoungeComfort system is designed for back protection with two different types of foam.

A quilted wool fabric provides cosy details in the wardrobe and wall coverings. For further visual enhancement of the cab, all wall areas are covered with fabric-laminated moulded parts, creating a certain symbiosis of living space and cockpit.

A new optional solid surface worktop with a large work surface gives the spacious kitchen – including undercounter larder unit – the flair of a luxury household kitchen, and the new double-hinged refrigerator can be conveniently opened in both directions.

There is dimmable, multi-level ambient lighting on the overhead lockers, under the kitchen counter and in the plinth area. Options include a hot water heater, a fully-automatic air conditioning system in the cab or an XL Comfort Plus door with central locking, closing aid and RFID access.

The extra-wide entrance door, which has been redesigned and integrated into the living area, is optionally available with integrated lighting, a closing aid and convenient, key-free access by means of an RFID chip.

The large through-loading compartment and the garage with a standard payload of up to 350 kg ensure plenty of space for luggage and camping gear.

The exterior of the B-Class MasterLine was developed in collaboration with StudioSYN.

For additional privacy, the living area can be separated from the sleeping area.

Six 2A USB ports are also available in the living area.

The shower has headroom of 1.94 metres.

There is 180 litres capacity of fresh water and 150 litres of grey water.
