On today’s feature, one of the wildest AMG builds ever commissioned. A 1997 SL73 AMG, factory built to special order for the Sultan of Brunei, automotive royalty with one of the most legendary and private car collections in the world.

The Sultan is known for commissioning ultra low production, bespoke Mercedes models that most people only hear about in whispers. One off specs, outrageous engines, and no compromises, cars built simply because money and status said yes.

This example is right hand drive, originally delivered to Brunei and later sourced from the UK. It wears correct AMG Aero 3 wheels, a Sebring AMG exhaust, and the legendary 7.3L AMG M120 V12. Hand built AMG excess from an era that will never exist again.
