In this video, I walk through the complete removal of the transmission from my 2003 Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG (W203) — done entirely in my garage with basic tools and no lift.

The C32 AMG was only produced for a few short years, and while the drivetrain is consistent across those model years, detailed DIY documentation for jobs like this is surprisingly hard to find. When I was researching this process, I couldn’t find a clear, step-by-step walkthrough — especially for a true garage setup — so I decided to document the entire job in detail.

To safely gain the necessary working height, the car is supported using custom-built wheel cribs, allowing the transmission to be removed without the need for a lift. Every step is shown clearly so you can follow along if you’re tackling this yourself.
