Car alarm malfunction is becoming more common on these older Benz. The alarm seems to get a mind of its own and may go off when you least expect it. That can be real embarrassing in a busy parking lot or heavily populated area. On 1993 and newer models you won't even be able to start the engine. Is deactivation an option? Kent thinks so and in this video explains he is working on a manual that will help you deactivate it all together if you do not want to go to the expense of fixing it. This video does NOT contain information on how to fix or deactivate an alarm system.
