This is the first part in a new series, where I will be documenting the process of creating a custom #opensource Transmission control module (TCM) for my modern #Mercedes vehicle, using the #ESP32 micro-controller!

In this part I will discuss the history of the TCM in this vehicle, as well as taking a look at
some of the issues the gearbox has, and which ones can be fixed with a new controller (software issues), without having to service the gearbox itself.
