Quick sprint of a 2011 F10 BMW 530D saloon with stock SE specification, automatic gearbox and stock engine (UK spec).

Spec:
3.0l engine with 255 bhp and 540 Nm.

Official figures: 0-100 in 6.1 seconds.
Best of 3 runs: 0-100 in 5.95 seconds (dry and smooth tarmac, no wind, empty vehicle with just the driver).

Fantastic sprint with a BMW 530D which returned better than expected results, actually slightly beating the official figure.
Really potent engine, which shoots this large and heavy vehicle past 100 km/h in a nice, smooth fashion, while roaring nicely and elegant, unlike the more ubiquitous 4 cylinder variants.
The 8 speed ZF automatic gearbox is very responsive and the engine provides really good high rev acceleration, while being slightly lacking in the low to medium range.
