This is a video about how to replace the main battery or a 2007 mercedes benz r350. The main battery is located under the front passenger seat. To make it easier I removed the 4 bolts that hold the front seat but none of the electronics attached to the seat.
Follow instructions found in the owners manual and you too should be able to replace the battery. The replacement was an MB original equipment. It retails for about $247.00

Here is how you can go about replacing an Alternator on a Mercedes C240 but this procedure should be very similar if not the same for other models like the C320, E320, ML320 and ML350 that come with a V6 Engine. Removing the alternator will require you to remove the drive or serpentine belt first and than the mounting bolts that attach it to the engine. Also dont forget to remove the negative cable to your battery as safety precaution.

In this video, I replace the alternator in a 2003 Mercedes E320.

So in this video

We're going to be replacing an alternator

in a 2003 Mercedes E320

He's on his way now

Step One, Disconnect the battery.

Do the negative...negative side

There it is... Make sure it cant touch it

You don't want it coming back on and

giving us a shock.

Alright looks good.

Okay we're going to take off these covers.

So next we gotta remove the belt.

Here's the tensioner

17mm, on the tensioner.

aaaand...

Just turn it

And the slide... Actually I am just going to slide the

belt off the alternator.

There we go.

And then

Let go..

Okay 11mm, right here

We have another 11mm on the bottom.

There it goes..

*Chatter*

There it is, and now, there is a 10mm nut

holding on the hot wire and an electrical connector

Oh this has got to be a 13mm.

Now there is an electrical connector

There it is! And then just fish it out

And... I don't know if you can hear that

But this was making a lot of noise

Now for the new one.

This is the new one, nice and quiet.

Plug in the electrical connector

And then

...get it down there first.

And now for the...positive cable

Put the nut back on.

Definitely don't want to kill this.. Just snug it.

We might need to pull out this sleeve a little bit

There is this sleeve here.

Let's see if I can get a bite on it...

There it is!

Alright.

Alright so now... We have to re-route the belt

It is a good idea to draw a diagram, or have something before hand

But this pretty much all stayed intact so..

There we go! Make sure the belt is in the center of the pullys.

Now check all the pullys, make sure it's on all the pullys in the center... Nothing slipped off..

Okay, Battery goes back on.

You don't want to strip it out.. There we go.

Let's put all the covers back on.

Alright, lets start it up!

Nice and quiet!

Documented a few things that I went through while trying to replace the stock Becker head unit / receiver with an after-market unit. I put in the Pioneer DEH-X6700BS (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130X6700BS/Pioneer-DEH-X6700BS.html) but very little of this video applies to that actual unit. Most of the video is dealing with the E320 / W210 quirks.

I ordered from Crutchfield because they have everything I need (assuming I ordered correctly, which I didn't) and also great customer service to help me through the install (called three times and got a live helpful person within a minute each time).

Things you will see in this video:
- How to determine if you have a Bose system (somewhere in one of the following: head unit display, speaker badge, VIN decode, original window sticker, badge on rear panel, amp, sub)
- Metra 70-1786 harness
- Scosche SLC-4 line output converter
- How to use the Crutchfield supplied keys to pull the Becker unit
- Description of each of the cables/connecters into the head unit
- How to remove the sunglass compartment
- How to remove the ashtray / cigarette lighter
- How to use the cigarette lighter lines for ACC 12v and dimmer connection
- Bad practices of doing electrical work with the battery still attached and tapping into plugs. This is an information video only meant to show you how to access / remove certain items. Please use discretion in working with your own electronics.

Old window regulator had lost about six teeth. Motor was fine. Took the door stop out and lubed it up also while I was in there. On a scale of ten, ten being most difficult, I would call this job a 7. Not for the faint of heart or the impatient. If you have a choice, go with the genuine MB part or a MB window regulator from a junk yard. The US$27. ebay special made in China regulator I installed required modification of the teflon "sliders".

When my w202 c230 had problems with the window switches due to spilled coffee on the console I thought I had a real problem since it was -20 outside...would have been a cold drive I tried the keyless window closing and found it was still working although the switches were not...If your power windows are stuck open and the window switches will not close them,you may be able to close them with the remote... since the switches and the remote window closing don't share all the same circuits, even with inoperable switches you should be able to close the windows and secure the car until a repair can be made
