In this video I am changing brake fluid on a CLK 200 W209. Very simple steps without any special tools. Just repeat the process for all 4 brake valves.
Generaly you start from the furthest valve from the master cylinder and move on to the next (Rear right, rear left, front right, front left).
I recently replaced the brake hoses so most of the fluid is new. You won't see a difference to the color. The old fluid would be black.
Brake fluid should be changed every two years.
IMPORTANT: USE ONLY THE CORRECT TYPE OF BRAKE FLUID!
If it's not on the cap look it up in your car's manual.

If you've just replaced your brakes, it may also be a good idea to check your brake fluid. Often, the fluid in the master cylinder may be contaminated/dirty, but it's usually the fluid within the lines that is the most dirty. Also, brake fluid is hydroscopic, meaning water can collect within the fluid and create pockets of air as the fluid heats up; this can be dangerous as it can cause the brake pedal to go soft.

It's a good idea to bleed/flush out your brake lines and master cylinder at least every 40,000 miles, or whatever your vehicle's manufacturer recommends.
